River Frome near Miserden

I came across this spot while I was out walking. The colours of this local landscape and its peacefulness inspired me to paint it. Both of which I feel are in the painting. The main parts of this I feel are the river and the moss on the wall showing a lack of disturbance. Not too off painted this, not so well known spot in the Cotswolds, as a result, seemed a shame

The River Frome flows through Gloucestershire from Nettleton near Birdlip, via the Miserden Estate to Upper Framilode on the River Severn. This River Frome known as the Stroud Frome is a different River Frome from the Bristol Frome. It shares some sections with the Thames and Severn Canal, and the Stroudwater Canal. It is more than 20 miles long. Part of the River Frome that flows through the Miserden Estate is home to native endangered wildlife
The Miserden Estate is in the Cotswolds AONB. It is about 2,900 acres in size. It was first created in 1620. The Wills family has owned it since 1913. It includes a 17th century Jacobean manor and landscaped gardens which won the Historic Houses and Garden of the year award in 2018. The Estate owns the stone cottages in the village. All residents are tenants of the Miserden Estate
